Our picks: Angkor Pass and tours with the pass

The e-ticket is the pass alone, for a visit you plan yourself. The Phnom Penh day trip is the only one here with the pass included, while the small-group day leaves it extra.

Angkor Pass types and how to choose

Prices for foreign visitors in 2026.

1 day$371 dayNo
3 days$623 visiting days within 7 daysYes
7 days$727 visiting days within 30 daysYes

Angkor Thom alone fills a morning, so a one-day pass can cover the gates, the terraces and the Baphuon. If you also want Angkor Wat, the outer temples and some time to rest, the three-day pass gives room. For most visitors who come for more than Angkor Thom, the three-day pass is the better fit. Choose the one-day pass if Angkor Thom is your only stop.

Where to buy the Angkor Pass

Since the ticket reform of 30 January 2025 you have several ways to buy.

Online and in the app

The official online platform and its app let you buy before you travel. Check the final amount, including any payment fee, at checkout.

Self-service machines

Machines stand at the ticket centre, at the Angkor Parvis and at the Heritage Walk.

Ticket counters

You can still buy at a ticket counter. If you plan a sunrise start, buying ahead means you do not depend on counter times.

Angkor Wat tickets: the same pass

One pass works for Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom.

Angkor Wat tickets are the same Angkor Pass. If you buy one for Angkor Wat, you already have the right to enter Angkor Thom on the same days. For the pass from the park side, see Angkor Wat and park tickets.

You need the pass for each visiting day. Keep it with you, because tickets are checked at many temples, and new devices also work with weak internet. Overlapping checkpoints were reduced, but checks continue.

Photo, age and the evening before

The rules that catch people out.

Photo

The one-day pass has no photo. The three- and seven-day passes carry a photo for identification.

Children

Children under 12 enter free and need no ticket. You may be asked for a passport to check the age.

Sunset the evening before

With a one-day pass for the next day, you may enter the park after 16:45 on the day before for sunset. That does not use up the day you bought.

Upper levels

Access to the upper tower of a temple starts at age 12. For the Baphuon, children under 12 and pregnant women have been kept off the summit for safety. Confirm what is open on the day.

Reductions

Apart from free entry for children under 12, do not count on student, senior or disability rates. Ask at the counter.

Opening times and what to bring

The park window is wider than the opening time of single temples.

The park as a whole is open from 05:00 to 18:30. That does not mean every temple opens at 05:00: the Baphuon and the Bayon, for example, are open from 07:30 to 17:30, so check the time at the gate for the rest. Cover your shoulders and knees, bring water and wear shoes with grip.
